Beware, this casino is operated and owned by the Cherokee Indians and under the federal gaming regulations. They pay a small percentage to staff a few harrah's employees and use the Harrah's name. They have exceptionally poor customer service and to not care about any complaints and they do not return calls and you only reach voice mail. The food is overpriced, the rooms are overpriced, customer service does not exist. Comps are very hard to earn you receive 1 cent for every 5.00 played through the machines. Most of the coupons received through the direct mail department cannot be used. Rooms are never available.
I have played at many Harrah's properties and have always enjoyed myself, but this property is terrible in every aspect of business. It is located near the Great smokey Mountains National park and has more tourist than regular customers. I have been there several times since 1999 and not once have i hit any money not even a few dollars. I constantly hear how "tight" the machines are.
If you like bad overpriced food and rooms and no customer service and pay high fees... 3.00 for ATMs or up to 6% to cash a check or fees of 4.50 up to over a 100.00 to use a credit card and you love to loose the hard earned money, then this is the best tourist trap in North Carolina.
