My mother and I were contacted by telephone to be told by the caller we had won Travel Rewards.
The caller "Kyle Carter" explained at length what we were to receive as part of this "prize".
My Mum was extremely skeptical of this, and handed the call over to me. Unfortunately, despite my initial concern, I got suckered in.
I was handed over to a person called Katie, for verification of my credit card details. There was a considerable delay of up to 45 seconds. This must have been when they were fleecing my credit card account of over $700 AUS or $598US.
After exchanging final "verbal pleasantries" with Kyle and Katie I signed off, and went on to check the details I had been given. A Google search, brought up no results and I was feeling rather nervous. A search via Yahoo - Aus and NZ led me to the complaint site.
I immediately cancelled my credit card and informed them of the fraudulent scam.
Beware of these Mongrels!
