I live in Australia. On the 3/9/05 I got a call from Sunshine Travel.initially it was a recording telling me I had won a trip for 4 to Florida and a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas. To find out more, I had to dial 1. I did this and a woman spoke to me telling me I had won in total a 16 day holiday. She then continued on with her spiel.
She told me their company often did promotions and their computers picked people at random who had made enquiries about holidays in America within the last 2 years. I had done this, so thought "wow this is good".
She then put me on to her supervisor who assured me that it was all legit. The name he used was Vincent Coviell.
He told me all I had to do was pay $598.00 US$, using my mastercard, visacard or american express card. Payment was required immediately to confirm that I wanted to take the prize or else it would be awarded to someone else. SO LIKE AN IDIOT I WENT AHEAD AND GAVE MY CARD DETAILS.
When I didn't get my confirmation email the next day as advised, I knew something was up and blocked my card but unfortunately they had taken out the money that same day. I guess there is no use waiting for them to send me my brochures in 14-16 days time, but if they do I will update this report.
