I Stayed at this crappy hotel on the night of august 1. The room smelled moldy and like mildew, the a/c didn't work (the temp was 102 that day). I called the front desk and talked to some person who called himself Tony at 12:00am. He acted like he couldn't possibly care less about my problem. I asked to talk to the manager, Miss Abraxas Mason, and he said she would call me in my room and resolve my problem. I still am not sure if this Abraxas woman even exists, as I have never heard from her. I have called repeatedly called, all to no avail. Also, there was an 2.50 amenity fee that I was not informed of until check-out. $2.50 for no a/c? I can definitley find another place to stay while in Austin!
This Hotel is only concerned with ripping off unwary travellers coming down I35. Their staff is decidedly unhappy with their jobs, their management is hiding out, and there are entirely too many places in Austin for one to waste one's time or one's money.
