Ripoff charged 20.00 cancellation charge for hotel booking with over 1 weeks notice given

I have cancelled a hotel reservation made through Octopus Travel. I have given them over 1 weeks notice and yet they insist on making the charge.
I find it incomprehensible. I have never come across a similar company ethic. Different if it had been only 48hrs notice or less. I suggest don't book hotels through them. Greedy springs to mind!!!
