Carnival Cruise Lines
Ripped off by Carnival RIPOFF

My wife and I were very excited about going on our Honeymoon, aboard the Carnival Glory. It left on Christmas Day and returned on New Years' Day. We paid about $3500 for the cruise. We were very disappointed.

It seemed as though the cruise line was run by idiots. Case in point: The movie that played over and over again in the state room was "Open Water." You know, the movie where the people get eaten by sharks in the middle of the ocean... They could have played "Jaws" and "Titanic" as a triple feature:)!

The cruise director, was meant to be a host of an infomercial. Picture a guy with a really strong Australian accent saying on a daily basis, "Ladies and Gentlemen, you've got to come to the Lido deck today at 5:00 to take part in the biggest night of your lives!" Every night was supposedly the biggest nights of our lives, but none of it panned out.

The food was aweful. Every night, dinner consisted of french fries, some kind of beef, some rice and some pasta. Not that I have anything against that combination. But every night? And I swear that some of it was leftovers from the previous night, with some sausage mixed in to change it up.

Breakfast was not that bad, but the scrambled eggs were a mushy mess. I asked if they were powdered. The cook said they were powdered eggs. YUCK!

I understand that in international waters, kids can drink. But there's got to be some guidelines. At White Heat, the disco, there were 12,13, and 14 year olds dancing away like they were Britney Spears. Not just a couple of them, but they took over the dance floor. Making it sort of hard for the adults on board to enjoy themselves.

They also had a band that played almost nightly. I don't remember the name, because I swear they took some room stewards, gave them instruments, and told them to strum... They were awful.

I got REALLY sick on board. Temperature of 103. Terrible respiratory infection. I called the infimary and was very rudely treated. I was told that I wasn't that sick. "It's just a cold. Drink fluids." Then I was hung up on. Great treatment... I missed the next three days at work when we returned, just trying to recover.

The drinks were overpriced and of course, even though it's legal, they would not allow you to take duty-free liquor that you bought to your room. They confiscated it and gave it to you on the day you left. This is just to gouge more money.

I will never take another Carnival cruise again. And our honeymoon was ruined. I wrote and complained, but never heard back.

Any suggestions?
