I was immediately suspicious when they called, but, shamefully, I fell for it. I researched online and found this website. I called the number to cancel my "free trial." The recording "confirmed" my automated cancellation. Two days later, (before I had even received any information in the mail), $149 was taken from my account.
I plan to report this scam to every agency with jurisdiction over these matters and also to alert every local news station in Houston. If it comes down to it, I will hire an attorney to pursue a class action suit. They messed with the wrong person.
