If you are a sports card collector, no doubt you are also an EBay member, as many a deals can be found there. But beware, as with any internet based transaction, sometimes you don't get what you order. And sometimes the other party really doesn't care.
Case in point, this user (JDSBULLPEN) sold me a pack of 1986 Fleer Basketball. I really don't collect too much anymore, but on this day, I saw this guy had sealed packs for $100 a pop. What the heck, maybe I'll get lucky with a Jordan rookie right? Yeah right.
When I received my product, the packaging was in less than desireable condition. I immediately attempted to get some sort of return processing, but to no avail. This guy claimed that all sales are final. I contacted EBAY and did everything I could to get this guy railed. I also filed negative feedback and found an alarming trend amongst his feedback that I had not noticed before. It seems many a complaints came about from his wax pack deals, many of which were 1986 Fleer Basketball. This is when I contacted some of his other past customers and one of them sent me something very interesting...
This guy sent me a link to an auction won by the above mentioned fraud... As it turns out he was buying used wax wrappers off of EBay and selling complete packs. The audacity! This specific link was his winning bid of $1 for 36 wrappers from 1986 Fleer Basketball. Imagine that. Now why exactly would someone want a used wax pack (wrapper only)? Well, for $100 I found out why.
I went round and round with the guy for the last year. I followed his feedback and everytime someone else posted negative feedback, I have sent them what information I have. Unfortunately, this guy will only deal by email and if you say anything he doesnt like, he simply blocks your emails from even reaching him. He'll say things like, deadbeat buyer, compare my positive feedback to his total feedback or see our 5,100 feedback's. DO NOT TRUST! Like that's supposed to say trust me. Sure his 96.4% positive feedback looks impressive. But when you consider he has had 123 negative feedbacks over the past 12 months... That's a lot.
My complaints and negative feedback didn't seem to help, so I thought I would file a report here as well. If you are into sports cards, do not trust JDSBULLPEN for wax packs, or for anything really as far as I am concerned. Sure I only have 20 feedbacks from EBay, but they are all positive.
This guy is a fraud. Don't make the mistake I did.
