Fetha Styx Rods are a Joke! I have fished with various models of their rods now for the past 7 years and they like most rods that are fished to the max break. Not a big deal until you find out that they will not warranty their product.
During the 2009 Washington Sportsman Show in Puyallup I turn in to Fetha Styx 6 Steelhead fishing rods that were broken to be repaired. I have doene this many times in the past with no problems. Now Their is a problem... They won't fix them!!!
Seems the company has been sold and they now state that before any of my rods will be fixed I have to pay some unpaid balance owed to the previous owner. I was told this 9 months after leaving the rods their... And I had to contact them. Funny thing is I paid the owner his money at the January Sportsman Show and now they want me to pay it again... NOT!!!
They are holding my rods for ransom. They only have 4 rods according to their Customer Service person not 6. And they refuse to fix them until I pay the this money I apparently owe.
Buyer beware of this shady rod company! This professional fishing guide is going back to G Loomis where I get treated with 100% satisfaction
