I9 Sports
Of Glen Allen Virginia Owned By Jeff Kraft And His Wife. Used a deceptive practice of "bait and switch."

I registered my 4 yr. Old son for flag football with I9 Sports in April. When I registered via I9 Sports's website, it stated my son's start time would be Saturdays at 9:00A. All of the correspondence I read about spring flag football before signing up stated the start time would be 9:00A. We even attended a Kids expo and spoke w/Jeff's wife who also stated the start time would be 9:00A as well. No where on their website does it state a start time of 8:00A.

The playing schedule was sent to everyone who registered approximately 2 weeks before the 1st game. The first thing I noticed was, that instead of starting at 9:00A, the stating time was 8:00A.

I immediately contacted Jeff Kraft, the owner, to see if maybe a mistake had been made. He stated that the 8:00A was correct and that practice started at 8:00A and the game was at 9:00A. Somewhere embedded in their website it states 1 hr practice before the game. He also stated that my son could just skip practice and play in the game. Now, I don't know about anyone else, but who in the h... Is going to know how to do something for the 1st time without practicing.

I was aware of the one hr. Practice before the game but if everything states "start" time of 9:00A, it would be assumed that the "start" time was the actual practice and the game would be played at 10:00A. My receipt actually states "start time 9:00A.

Jeff and I conferred back and forth several times via email and I stated I wanted a refund because I could not make it by 8:00A. At first, I was told I could switch to Sunday afternoons (time when we're still in church) or he could play in a future league (would not work if they all begin at 8:00A). He would not refund my money because they have a no refund policy. I stated the reason for requesting the refund was not because he didn't want to play. I wanted my money back because I felt he intentionally misrepresented the stating time just to entice parents to sign up. I think if 8:00A was put on the web site as a start time; there wouldn't have been as much participation because the age group was 3-5 yr olds. It's fairly hard to get a 3-5 yr old up, dressed, fed and out the door on a Saturday morning and it's definitely not worth the hassle.

Because Jeff would not refund my money and because none of the other concessions would work, I finally emailed him to let him know that I was not happy about the situation, but that we would find a way to get our son to the games. He immediately called me and left a message on my voice mail stating he wanted to make sure we were happy and would be issuing me a "full refund." He just needed me to email him to let him know if that was ok.

After sending the email stating he could refund the money back to my credit card, he email me back and stated he could only refund me a partial credit. At that point I was livid.

I filed a dispute w/my credit card company and in the end they sided with I9 sports because they had a "no refund" policy. Therefore I paid money for something that I got absolutely no service or product.

I would advise anyone to be very careful before doing business with this company. Not only were they deceptive, but also has a very bad customer service attitude.
