My 2000 Yamaha Sportboat had defective jet pump cleanout plugs. While boating, one plug forcefully ejected causing boat to partially submerge. Both engines ingested salt water and river silt which caused both engines to sieze. The boat had less than four hours on it! Yamaha customer service said the problem was mine because the warranty didn't cover water in the motors.insurance covered some but I lost thousands of dollars.
