"Captchuck4" Power Seller Stay-a-way from Captchuck4 or 5 or 6, a Power Seller on Ebay. If you do have a problem, your screwed, Big Time

I live in Northern New England and last winter I decided to buy a crossbow. So, I went on Ebay to see what they had. I found this crossbow called "Mad-Dog" and was told it was 180 lb bow and shoots to 60 yds., with no problem. It was sold by a Power Seller named "Captchuck" (now known as captchuck4. He has moved a few times in the past few years, so his number keeps changing).

Anyway, on Sept./13/07 I took out this crossbow to sight it in for the hunting season (you can't do anything at winter time). My target was 20 yds away and when I shot the bow the bolt (arrow) would only go 10-12 yds and hit the ground. Needless to say, it did a job on 4 of my bolts, "costly". So I called a very honest, well known outfitter and talked to their expert on staff. He said to bring in the crossbow and he would take a look at it.

After driving for more than 3 hour, I arrived at the store and went in. When the expert saw my crossbow, he said, "that's doesn't look like any 180 lb crossbow he has ever seen. The arms are to thin and narrow". He then showed me what 180 lb arms should look like. There was quite a different. Then he put a scale, to measure the pull, on the bow string and pulled it back. It only read 60 lbs. Since he didn't cock the bow all the way, he said it was an 80lbs bow, at best.

After I contacted good old captchuck4, he wrote me back one email that was very unprofessional, accusing the bow expert of trying to sell me another crossbow. This expert never said anything to me about buying another crossbow. He told me to get in touch with the person I bought the bow from and let him know what we found with this bow. He said, not that Captchuck4 was trying to rob me, but to let him know what was going on. He felt the factory may have sent me the wrong bow in "error". Can you see the difference between an Expert and someone who "cares less" about the people he does business with?

I paid around $90-95.00 for this bow, with shipping. I just want my money back (pulse the cost for return shipping) I've been in business since the mid 60s and I've never treated my clients like this guy. My products cost $2500 and more each, the average being $250-$350.00. Through the year I've had to eat a few of these products, (this coming out of my own pocket) but one must do what one needs to do for there clients.

Oh, one more thing. I called the guy by phone and could only get his voice mail. I can see why he doesn't answer the phone himself. Do you think he returned my call? Sure he did, "NOT". How he is a Power Seller on Ebay is beyond me...
