Ballys Sports Club at the World Wide Plaza in New York City is responsible for my bad credit and for the creditors I am currently dealing with. I paid 80 dollars a month for multiple gyms around the city, they opened two accounts for me one for 80 and one for 57 dollars a month. I was unaware of this I'm one person I don't need two. I closed the membership because I moved out of the city but there was another still open that I didn't know about that was "frozen".
When I moved home to Pennsylvania I started to receive calls from Credit agencies stating that Ballys had sold my debt and I would assure them that I had cancelled for legitmately, followed the rules of the contract dilegently as possible. It was then that the corporate office told me that there were two accounts that I had at ballys, one that had been frozen and then cancelled out when I sent in my new address and fifty dollar cancellation check and the other for fifty seven dollars a month that was for the World Wide Plaza only.
I had asked a sales counselor at Ballys at the one year mark of my standing membership there if I could have my membership monthly plan lowered because I was paying the premium amount which included multiple Ballys access around the city. I was only using the Ballys at the world wide plaza.
The sales counselor then said "Oh Yea that's no problem we can lower your rate, " and proceeded (without my knowledge of this) to open an account for fifty seven for access to only that gym, but he froze my other membership rate that was 80 dollars a month instead of cancelling it out like I had asked. He didn't tell me about this.
His name was Felix and he was a sales counselor at Ballys in the Fall of 2004 and he was very dishonest and essentially is responsible for my debt and dealing with the creditors from Knightsbridge in Cleveland that don't care at all that I was deceived. I never knew until this day that this site existed, and so I've been putting this off not sure what to do but yell at the corporate office at Ballys.
It makes no sense that two gym memberships accounts would ever be opened for anyone unless it was two different gyms in two different cities. I've been hasseled into starting a payment plan with Knightsbridge creditors of 20 dollars a month. I've made one payment, but have struggled to make ends meet as of late and have decided that this is injust and on top of the 22 thousand dollars I owe for my college loans is not something that I'm able to deal with at this juncture in my life.
I'm a college graduate I'm a stuggling artists who works very hard to keep a roof over his head and make ends meet and I have tried to pay my college loans off in a timely manner but have had to defer unfortunately do to my lack of income in my chosen field (I've made progress though). I shouldn't have to deal with a company that has been in multiple class action law suits from what I've gathered.
This was outright dishonesty and I've stressed to much about it, and if there is anything that can be done, the satisfaction that you could offer would be indescribable. I thought I just had to be punished and I'm praying that's not the case everytime a creditor from Knightsbridge calls me (and I've disputed this with them too, bellieve me). I work cash businesses on the side, and from time to time I make decent money as an actor but I'm just getting by.
If there is anything we can do to dispute this I would greatly appreciate it. I've gone to gyms my whole life and I've never had a problem like this ever, it's deplorable what they do at Ballys with their customers' and their contracts. Thanks and God Bless
