I purchased an electric scooter from Linson USA Inc. On 11/29, which arrived in a timely manner on December 6. The box was in very poor condition when it arrived, as the scooter weighs about 70 pounds and was only packed with a little bit of styrofoam and 2 cardboard boxes.

When we removed the item from the box, it had damage on the base of the scooter which was obviously done during manufacturing when the motor was mounted on the base and not in shipping. Only scratches from shipping. I immediately called the number on the shipping label and they immediately gave the the name of Asctech and phone number to call and request replacement part. I called the other company and they told me to take pictures of damage and email to them to determine replacement part needed. They had the pictures within 20 minutes after phone call.

Did not hear anything after that so emailed Asctech to ask status of request for part and they said the mechanic was going over pictures and would get back to me, which did not happen. I, at this point, realize that I will never hear from Linson USA again. I have sent over 25 emails and phone calls with no response.

Right before Christmas, we tried charging the scooter, which appeared to be okay even though the charger did not react as stated in directions. On Christmas morning, we took my son out to see his wonderful gift. The only thing that happened was the light came on for a few seconds. No power to run scooter.

I called Asctech again and they told me to take a volt meter and check batteries and charger and let them know what was bad and they would replace it. The charger was fine, but no reading on batteries. We took the battery plate off and found acid leaking out of batteries, which in turn, had leaked into the motor, causing damage to motor. Now I need 2 batteries and a motor. I called Asctech back and told them about the batteries and the motor. They said they could send me replacement batteries, but I would have to return the motor to them so they could send it back to manufacturer for refund before they would replace the motor, which I said was ridiculous. I paid for a working scooter (supposedly brand new) and all I had was something to look at. It was in no way functional.

They informed me they were doing me a favor by replacing batteries or helping at all and I needed to understand this, as I really should have been going through Linson USA, Inc. And they should be requesting these replacements, not the consumer. I asked him how that was possible as they do not respond to email or phone calls.

He agreed to try and reach them by email and we promptly found out they will be closed until January 5. No doubt on vacation spending all the money they ripped off from innocent consumers.

They took my money without a problem and I have an electric scooter which does not work and never will unless I pay another $100 to hopefully get it to work.

This company should not be allowed to sell to consumers. We have laws to protect consumers against such fraudulent practices. I want to see them destroyed. Wonder how many children they disappointed at Christmas due to their unethical practices? They need to be stopped.
