Streetlinks is a property appraisal management company. They are paid by the consumer to hire independent appraisers on the behalf of lenders to place a value to your property in order to qualify for a loan. They are expected to hire experienced appraisers in your local area to asses the value.in my case, this company hired an appraiser from outside my local area who was not familiar with the market where I live resulting in incorrect boundaries on the report along with no credit for obvious upgrades or the expansive view.inexperience lead to the use of improper comps of properties that have no view and are in a lesser valued area.
After my complaints directly to Streetlinks, they requested NEW evidence such as other professional appraiser's opinions that proved their arranged report wrong. I had two more appraisals done within the next 6 weeks after their report. Both appraisals used the correct boundaries and therefore the correct comps which resulted in valuations that would have qualified for my loan whereas the streetlinks report did not qualify. This resulted in the loss of the loan and 40,000 in cash back from the loan to me.
In spite of the new qualifying appraisals, which satisfied their own request for new evidence, Streetlinks refuses to take responsibility for their inferior services and issue a refund.
