The Managers of Sam's Club store 4722 are lying to all of their employees and members. We, the associates, were told there is no money in the budget to give us a yearly bonus, yet they have hired many new full time employees, who are making more to start than others who are more qualified or have been there for years and can do the same work.
They Had the concrete floors sanded and waxed to shine for the members, put runners on the stairs to prevent associate accidents, and used our budget to buy a new floor cleaner, an outdoor electric cart pusher, and electric wheel carts for the disabled. The Managers also went on vacations with "their" bonus money that they got for keeping the cost down and we got told there was nothing left in the funds for us.
They cut hours every Thursday and Friday, send the cashiers home, while the store is crowded with lines out the door. FUNNY, they are never around when a member complains about the lines.
There is this "thing" that is called "the open door policy" in which you can go to any manager anytime with a problem and they are supposed to listen and help you.
All My Team ever got was laughed at by the managers.
Some associates work their tails off and are told that they are incompetent while others loaf around, complain all the time, and rely on others to do their work for them, sit back and get praised and raises for a job well done.
The Store Manager was overheard talking to personell and he said, "No One Deserves A Full Raise in This Store!"
He was right, No One Did.
We try our best, but it's not good enough. We are told that we are not working hard enough, Yet we are overwhelmed with workloads, they change the rules on a daily basis and never tell anyone, The bathrooms are dirty, the associates are tired and the managers are never around when you need one.
The outside representatives are given. 30 cents a mile (that includes wear and tear on their vehicles) to go out and sign up new members, and gas prices are rising another 8%. There are no company cars so they are using their own vehicles and insurance rates in NJ are astronomical. How do you think they are feeding their families each night after they pay for their vehicles maintenance.
This is only the tip of this Ice Berg.
There is a reason why the people who work for Wal-Mart/Sam's Club call these places vaccuum cleaners.
They suck the life right out of you!
