I got totally gipped by the Brida Shop. I went in with my mother to buy a dress and came out spending 300% more than what the dress is worth. I was told a bunch of lies about the dress, the following misrepresentations were made to both my mother and I:
(1) my mother was charged the wrong amount. She was told there was a 60% deposit and 40% due upon arrival. Your sales representative charged the entire amount without permission to do so. And when we brought it to her attention, she stated she could not reverse it because it had already gone through and because we got such a great deal that we made out like bandits;
(2) there was a representation made that we could not wait another day because the dress was being sent back to the manufacturer. However, the dress was there on the rack when I returned on Tuesday to resolve this dispute and saw it with my own eyes and have two other witnesses who saw it on the rack;
(3) there was a representation that the price of the dress was $2,600. There was no tag attached to the dress. The price of the dress is $690.00 as I come to find out;
(4) then they made us sign this illegible contract, vague, unintelligible, unconscionable contract.
We tried to cancel the next day before they put their order in but they went ahead and ordered it after they got our call. I tried talking to the owner but she was so rude and told me I can sue her if I had a problem. She also stated in a mean tone "what part of cancellation don't you understand." For god sakes, this is my wedding dress for my wedding day, why should I get ripped off?
