Never Again

I went to HH Gregg in St Clairsville, Ohio today to purchase a new 60 inch tv, stand and 3d glasses, the salesman (Howard) was very helpful and courteous, he assisted me in matching me with the best tv for my budget and taste, upon selecting all of the items, a Samsung PnD6500 tv and a Bello tv stand along with 2 pairs of 3d glasses I made my way to the cashier, Howard left me there and thanked me, that's when my nightmare began, my total was 1763.21, I told the cashier (#3a74) that I wanted 800 on my debit card and I would pay cash for the remaining $963.21, she told me to swipe my card, I did and input my pin, she said try again, I did and she rudely said it was declined, I asked her to try again this time as credit, same card, she again said declined, I said that's impossible there is 1000 in that account, I then called my wife and had her check our online banking page to get the balance, she said it went through and plainly stated HH Gregg 800, not a pre-auth, gone, out of my account!!! I ethen explained this to the cashier as well as a manager named Nathan, he called someone at HH Gregg's processing # and asked if they had received the payment, he then informed me that the card was declined and never went through, I then took him to a computer and logged into my account and showed him the transaction, he agreed it was gone and said he would call my bank, he tried and said they were closed and there was nothing he could do until Monday, I explained to him that there was no way I was leaving the store unless the money was credited back to my account or the purchase was completed, he told me to get ahold of my bank then, again we tried another # and had no success, it was 1:30 on Saturday, I then called my sister in law who works at my bank, she was off but said if it was gone from the account then it was approved, again I told Nathan I was not leaving without a tv or $800 back in my account as I had no way of prooving I had even been there, I was getting upset at this point, he got another mgr (Todd) and again called the number he called earlier to see if the transaction had gone through on there end, by this time more than 30 mins. Had passed and there was a crowd forming at the register due to the holdup, he got off the phone and began typing, not saying anything to me for nearly a minute, finally I asked what he was going to do and he said he was going to go ahead and finish the transaction but I would need to come back on tuesday with the card again, I said fine, then I asked what he was going to do about my inconvenience? He stated "Nothing, you waited 20 minutes" I then said I would have left already if my money was in my account but I had no choice but to buy or risk losing my money, I stated I was now stressed out from this ordeal as well, he then turned it around on me and said "look at all these people you have held up, do you think we want to lose your sale?" Todd chimed in as well and stated that I never suffered an inconvenience, I only waited 20 minutes. It was well over 30 mins. Not 20 and at best buy I am rung up in 2 mins or less. I paid for the rest with cash and pulled my car up for pickup, Howard came out with the tv and apologized to me, he was sincere and I told him he was a great help, I thought that was nice of him to do, but Todd and Nathan should take note, I am still unhappy, still need to possibly go back Tuesday with my card (another inconvenience) and I just feel like I was treated rudely for there mistake and the only person who apologized was Howard who did nothing wrong. Ill wait for a response from HH Gregg before I make my next move, but all I can say is 300 friends on Facebook, if each one tells 5 friends, well u do the math.
