Two weeks ago I purchased 3 items, 2 of them were from Toddlers deptment: A coat which was on sale for $20 and a pair of hosiery for $5. At the check out, the cashier said the coat was $28 and the hosiery was $10. I told her that the price for the hosiery was not 10, it was 5, but she didn't accept it. I was sure that the sign at the hosieries was 5. I was confused but didn't say anything more. Again she said the coat was $28. I said that it was on sale and the price was $20 not $28. I said that if it was 28 then I didn't want it. You know what she said? She said: OK, I CAN CHANGE IT TO $20!!! Isn't there any fixed price at this store? If I didn't questioned her, she would have sold it to me $8 more than it supposed to be. I bought both of them but I was very angry when I left the store. Today I had a chance to go back there. First I checked the price of the hosiery and I was right. It was the same sign and the same price as I saw last time, it was $5. I went to the customer service. First I returned the coat, then I told the man to check the price for the hosiery and he said it was 5. I told him that 2 weeks ago that price was the same as of today but the cashier sold it to me $5 more. The only thing he said was that he doesn't know why the cashier didn't adjust the price, and that was it. He didn't even appologize for the inconvenience and causing me to pay more than the actual price. I purchased the hosiery for $5 this time and I got my $5 back (if I didn't really needed it, I would have returned it as well).
My last words, from this experience I found out that Kohl's is not trustworthy because at the checkout they might charge you much more than what you are supposed to pay and they are aware of what they are doing. My experience at Kohls was a very bad experience that made me so angry for two weeks. I never had such experience at any other department stores such as Macy's, Dillards or even Jcpenny.
I will never go even near Kohl's again and I will tell all of my friends not to do so.
