My first shipment from Bongo's European warehouse was packed into a box twice the size needed. I ended up paying $50 more to have air from Belgium sent by airmail. So much for "dimensional" weight.
I hoped that my next shipment would have better service. It has not.
Of 4 packages awaiting consolidation at Bongo US, 2 had been over-weighed resulting in 8 lb of excess weight. This will add $30-$40 of shipping charges, to ship nothing.
For example, an envelope of 7 metal springs was delivered by UPS, who weighed it as 0.10 lb. On arrival at Bongo, the envelope was opened and one spring measured at 0.50 lb. The system will happily forward the envelope but first charge for 3.5 lb of weight. Despite the weight measurement being out by a factor of 35x, I was required to pay for a reweigh. They reckon that the original weight measurement is correct, so they keep my $2.
