I am writing this to express my disappointment with my most recent visit to Famous Footwear in Taylorsville, Utah store #2414. I had made a recent purchase during the last BOGO sale. I purchase a pair of shoes for myself and my son. The first time I put the shoes on my son I felt the shoe had a poor design. I loved the look of the shoe, they had stretchy laces and look like a easy slip-on shoe. However they wouldn't even stay on, they slipped off every step he took. I returned to the store to exchange the shoes and the associate, Mari informed me the BOGO was no longer going on so the only thing she could do was give my a $11 exchange since they had been worn! How would you know of this flaw until you wore them? Obviously there are no shoes I find for $11 and I didn't want the same shoe. I am a gold member and had also used a $15 coupon I had EARNED from previous purchases in edition to the BOGO sale. So I guess that was lost since I had to return the shoe. Mari was matter of fact, rude and made me feel like I wasn't valued at all as a rewards member. I exclusively have shopped Famous Footware for many years because of the rewards and sales. I buy shoes at Famous Footwear for my family of 5 several time a year. I called the store and spoke with another associate, Morgan, who told me they would give me the price on they box to make a exchange. So, the next weekend I attempted to take the shoes back and Lisa was working. She knew who I was and that I tried to exchange the shoes the previous weekend and left me at the front register while she attempted to call Mari. With no answer she reluctantly gave me credit for a partial price of the shoes but made sure to tell me she would probably get in trouble for doing so. I feel Mari was extremely unprofessional, she made me feel I was trying to steal from the company and if this is truley the stores policy, I would rather take my business somewhere that values their customers and backs up their products.
