Primetime Casting
Ripoff Promises not kept refused to issue refund

I first signed up with this company on July 7. I was promised that there were lots of jobs in my area and I could make up to $400 a day.

After 4 days exploring their website, I only located 1 job in my area. That falls well below what I consider "lots" of jobs. Apparently Primetime Casting and I use a different dictionary.

I called to cancel my membership on the fifth day after signing up. (For record, 5 days after signing up is July 12.) Unfortunately, I believed that the person I talked to would take care of the problem and I never wrote their name down. That was a major mistake.

When I received my statement, and the refund was not issued, I called back. This was on August 12th. Whoever I talked to apologized and said it would be take care of. I emailed a follow up with no response. I emailed three more followups with no response. I called a number of times and no one answered.

I called again on October 7. The first few times I was put on hold for 5 minutes and then transferred to a voice mail box. I kept calling until I got a hold of someone. The girl I talked to was very rude. She said that the ONLY times I called was on July 7th to sign up and August 12 to cancel. There were no other notes and there are ALWAYS notes.

She kept saying "Well, the way I see it, you called to cancel 5 days after the trial ran out and the notes prove it." She finally transferred me to someone else, Chris, who said the same thing. The overall attitude shown by Primetime's employees was that I was the crook here and was trying to get money I wasn't entitled to. When I told Chris I would have to file a report, his response was, "Whatever, do what you need to do. I have information here that backs me up."

I have worked in customer service for 14 years. I have never once made any customer feel like a liar. I am fully aware of the rule of taking notes when a customer calls, but am also aware of many times that my employees did not follow this rule.

After reading the rebuttals here by "Roxy" who says she is the customer service manager (and I am not claiming she isn't) I called Primetime Casting and asked to speak with her but was told that I could not talk to her or leave a message.

Overall, this company is a total scam. They make false claims for availability of work, fail to take the proper notes (and then claim that they ALWAYS takes notes,) and provide very poor customer service.
