INTRODUCTION - The purpose of this post is to inform and assist victims in the Orange County area affected by an individual named Scott "Scott the Mover" Tassone. For the past decade, Scott Michael Tassone has operated various scams defrauding his victims for financial gain. One scam includes is feigning to operate a residential moving company despite being unlicensed and uninsured in the State of California which is illegal. Scott has also been known to operate in the real estate market, and knowingly cash or submit bad checks.
The information in this post is a compilation from various information online that can be verified.
BACKGROUND - In the second season the television series Storage Hunters, which airs on TruTV, two new characters were added: Scott "Scott the Mover" Tassone and Chrissy Kachadorian-Tassone. Despite claiming to own and operate a moving company, Scott Michael Tassone who currently resides in Trabuco Canyon, CA does not have the proper license to operate a moving company in the State of California. On a number of occasions, his moving operations including 3 Big Dogs Moving Company have received cease and desist notices by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) for operating unlicensed and uninsured. As a result, victims whose furniture was damaged due the negligence of the movers were not actually insured at all. Scott typically lists false addresses for his businesses which results in customers being unable to easily hold him accountable for any damages.
Additionally, Scott Michael Tassone has had a number of incidents with officials in the State of California.in the Department of Real Estate investigated Scott Michael Tassone for fraud, dishonest dealings and unlicensed activity in the real estate market. Scott Michael Tassone's real estate license has since been revoked.

STORAGE HUNTERS - For fans and critics of the television series Storage Hunters, the TruTV website lists the following information about the Tassones which appears to be completely false:

They have an eye for antiques and high-end collectibles. And with a take-no-prisoners attitude, when they want something, they get it."
According to the TruTV website, it claims the Tassones have been in the auction game for over a decade. The first problem here is that Tassones were busy getting into trouble with scamming people in the real estate market around that timeframe. Especially, there appears to be no record of Scott Tassone being involved in the moving business until mid as 3 Guys Moving & Storage which he did not directly own.
Contradicting TruTV's claims, Scott Tassone on his personal website, http://www.scottthemover.com, claims the following:
"It all started in 2007 Owning a Commercial Moving Company That does foreclosure clean outs and evections I found myself with a surpluses of things of value for sale that were left behind. What i could not get for free or on trade I started buying. The selling of was easy with my wife at my side to help market things for sale and keeping the inventory under control."
This contradicts the "more than a decade" claim on TruTV's website since Scott Tassone lists 2007 as the date (five years ago).

KNOWN TACTICS — Scott Michael Tassone has been known to employ a variety of psychological tactics to subdue his victims. Some of these tactics include:
- Make idle promises to resolve the matter to pacify victims. He will generally either ignore his victims when the time comes to make good on the promise or make an excuse to delay resolution.- Common excuses to delay resolution include: vehicle broke down, check must have been lost in the mail, family emergencies and business trips.- Informing victims to contact his attorney. Yet, he will provide no contact information to contact his so-called attorney.- Threaten that he will sic him so-called attorney or file a lawsuit for slander or harassment.- Publicly claim victims are fake and/or blatantly lie about his side of the story.- Accuse the victims of being the difficult ones since he "offered" to resolve the issue (despite ignoring numerous broken promises).
