There was a charge on my bank account for $5.25 from a company called knipatt.com. I knew I had not purchased from this company so I contacted my bank and cancelled my debit card

I was charged $5.25 from my debit card for a purchase I did not make. I went to the web site and called the number no luck. I cancelled my debit card and my bank gave me a credit. However I would like to know how they got my card number.
