We bought a Tempurpedic ergonomic bed from HHGREGG because they were offering a 120 "RISK FREE" in home trial. We were unsure if we would like the Tempurpedic so we decided to try it. The sales manager assured us that if we did not like the bed, we could return it with no questions asked and get our money back. We were very specific about this because we did not want to be locked into something like a store credit because HHGreg did not have a huge selection of mattresses.
The sales manager was adamant that we could return the bed and get our money back. Well, we did not like the mattress and tried to return it around 20 days later. Both HHGregg and the ACTUAL sales manger that sold us the bed told us that we could return the mattress, but that we COULD NOT return the ergonomic frame.
The frame cost $3,200!!! We were floored, we told them that we thought it was extremely deceiving, and even outright fraudulent because the actual sales manager lied directly to us. We threatened to sue them and they ended up giving us a store credit... Exactly what we didn't want! We had to settle for another bed, that we really don't like, and by another TV, that we really don't need.
Im so upset with this whole thing that I will NEVER purchase anything from HHGregg again, and I would really urge anyone that is looking to buy a Tempurpedic to think twice. If Tempurpedic is willing to treat their customers like this, I doubt there warranty is worth more than the paper its written on.
