I recently purchased and expensive necklace during Kohls cash days and told the salesperson I did not want the Kohls cash if it would mess up my return as I was just trying the jewlery with a dress for my son's wedding and was not certain it would work out. She informed me I would get all my money back if I returned the items, so I paid $301 on my charge for the necklace and then $60.00 in Kohls cash to buy the earrings which covered the price of them. I did return both items but was told I would only get back $247 to my charge and then $60.00 in merchandise credit. I am not sure how this is even legal as I returned all my kohls items and I am ending up paying $50.00 out of my pocket for NOTHING. I called and spoke with Kati today at your 800 number and not only did she act like she could care less about what happened, she said she would put $40.00 more back to my credit card and $20 to store credit because I only used $40 kohls cash on the earrings. I am looking at my receipt right now for the earring and it shows I used $60 in Kohls cash. I beleive there may be an issue with how you work this return and I do plan on sending a message to the better business bureau. I should not owe any money out of my pocket as I no longer have any of your merchandise from these transactions.
