This company was hired to resurface my pool, and install new equipment. After signing the contract, half of the total cost was paid upfront for materials. This was their company policy and seemed legit as the pool equipment was costly. The amount paid upfront was $3,375.00
After failing to show up and start work, for 2 weeks straight, MR. Ward (the owner) informed me he was too busy to get to my job, and would be issuing a full refund back to me. I met Mr. Ward the next day, and he gave me a company check.
Unfourtunately, the check he gave me was returned for insufficent funds. When I called Mr. Ward about the issue, he explained he did not have my money but would get it resolved.
After calling my bank and receiving a copy of the check that I wrote to JTK pools, the back showed that JTK Pools had signed over my check to another individual and never depostied into their buisness account. After further review, it became apparent that JTK pools, took my money and used it for personal gain, and they never intended to do the work hired to do.
This company now has gone into hiding - Refusing to answer the phone/emails/etc. They have stolen my money and run-off. However, they are still seeking out new buisness from unsuspecting consumers in an effort to obtain more "up-front" cash.
Buyer beware.
