IVEC They killed my dog!

Took our otherwise health Yorkie (Tinkerbell or Tinky for short) to this place on Thursday for some beef jerky that had become lodged in her throat. The Vet after doing some expensive ultrasounds and x-rays, says that it's not the beef jerky that is causing the problem, that she actually has a very large tumor that is probably cancer and more than likely terminal. They would like to run a few more tests, at additional costs of course. They convince us that she is in dire straits and that she needs to go in the oxygen tank, which is just a really large fish tank. Friday they have us come in and they tell us they don't believe the mass is cancer, but that for her to survive it HAS to come out. We ask what the recovery rate was for this type of surgery and we are told very high. Of course it will cost in the neighborhood of $5000.00 all told. So of course feeling confident that they know what they are doing, we say go ahead with surgery. She comes out of surgery and of course is very weak as to be expected. We visited with her a couple of times mid-day Saturday. On one of the last visits she seems to be labored in her breathing. The nurse tells us she had some fluid overnight that had to be drained. We were taken aback. No one had told us this. After conferring with our other family members who had visited, we called and ask why no one had told us about the fluid. They all denied ever saying that, despite 3 of us hearing it.

At 2:43 Sunday morning we get a phone call that Tinky had had to be revived. We run down there, arriving at 3:20 A.M. My husband says "Tinky you look bad." The surgeon very coldly says to him "Well you should have seen her 30 minutes ago. She was dead." Again we see the large fish tank with a hole in it, or the so called oxygen tent. We spend some time visiting with Tinky who tries to jump in to my arms and lays contently for a time on my husbands lap. Thinking she was stable, we decide to head home.

We are called again at 5:50 A.M. After only being gone 45 minutes. This time they are performing CPR. My husband jumps in the car to rush down there. At this point Dr. Ball asks do we want her resuscitated. I said absolutely that my husband sighed a DO resuscitate form. He said well there was a do NOT resuscitate form signed a day before he signed the Do resuscitate form. I said yeah that was signed when we were led to believe she was at deaths door with cancer WHICH SHE DID NOT HAVE. My husband 15 minutes into the 25 minute trip gets another phone call where they very coldly say "She died". They couldn't wait, knowing he was on his way, to tell him in person? He brings home our beloved Tinky in a box.

Thinking something doesn't add up, my daughter goes to get the records Sunday afternoon and is told we can't have the records because we owe a balance. (Including a separate charge for CPR). She tells them they have a credit card on file so that shouldn't matter. She then takes video as 3 people spend the next hour doing something to our records to get them prepared. When she gets them dates are altered and things are scratched out and changed.

On Monday they make several bizarre phone calls to our home and our vet trying to track down the body. They offer to come pick her up FROM OUR HOUSE and take her and cremate her, or as most people call it, destroy the evidence.

Stay away from this place!!!
