On my first visit to Dr. Richard Radocha was on October 3rd 2013. I went first to the insurance desk where they took all my information on my insurance. I had met my deductible and had to pay $80.00 for my co-payment. I did that. I was referred by my insurance company to go to him because he was in my insurance net work. Dr. Radocha knows all about United Health Insurance. As I was being examined he then continued to talk about how he was screwed over around twelve times and wanted to make sure that the insurance was going to pay. (I had already told my insurance company what was going to be done and they said it was not a problem as I am a previous cancer patient.) I did have it already pre-approved but he refused to listen to me. Dr. Radocha told his assistant Donna to submit a letter to the insurance company stating his price for the fees along with the procedure codes so the insurance would give him an approval. We received a approval letter from our insurance company and we had it faxed to Dr. Radocha with attention Donna. Donna called and said she did get the approval, Donna then said she would be calling us back with an appointment within a few days. Many days went by and no phone call. My husband then called Donna once again and ask Donna if he did not want to do the surgery to please let us know. Donna said yes he would do the surgery and an appointment date was given for pre-op in about two weeks and assured us that the surgery would be done before the end of the year. I called the day before my appointment and talked to Donna and was assured that everything was a go. My husband took that day off of work to meet with the Doctor and to be briefed on the surgery only to find out that he was not satisfied with the insurance approval. The Doctor went on and on and on about insurance companies. And guess what no pre-op was done. At the end of the appointment Dr. Radocha told Donna to contact our insurance and he had a list of demands to comply with before he would do surgery. We were told we would hear from them the next day and low and behold no phone call. My husband proceded to call Donna back and was assured that Dr. Radocha had to talk with the insurance company and she once again would call us back. Once again Donna never ever called us back. My husband filed a complaint on Nov 27th and spoke with the head of administration and still nothing has been done. No phone call nothing. So here I am writing this complaint. I have seen many many Doctors but never anything like this. This Doctor never introduced himself, no hello, no nothing. No manners what so ever. It seemed to us was money was a BIG issue with him. I really thought I handle it all down stairs. I have learned a big lesson from all this. I will never ever go through anything like this again. No one should ever go through this whether you have cancer or disabled in anyway or even a normal everyday person should never go through what we have been through. Talk about money and golf and he could or even might give you the time of day. Thank You!!
