While in coachella, we had to sleep in tents and those of us who didn't have a tent were given the option of sleeping a "hundred man" tent that was only big enough for 50 people and if all the cots were taken then you were pretty much s.O.L.
It was very hot and sometimes there wasn't any cold water out. The r. V was way out in the parking lot and there wasn't cold water there either. Our lunches were sometimes soggy or not enough to feed us. We were also given food that we didn't even eat because it was nasty or other reasons.
The only time we were feed was on the weekends by staff pro and the only time "langer" feed us was when we were on duty. The cooks that langer had would use way to much salt on their food or try saying we can't eat this or have that's because they were the ones that bought the food and they would also burn the food.
There was officers stealing other officers property. There was "supervisors" taking event staff and officers out to eat and out to hookah bars and drinking with them. Everything about this WHOLE entire event was extremely disorganized and there was alot of inappropriate activity going on.
I would NEVER do this with "langer" ever again. On a more personal side, it was so hot and I was so dehydrated one day that I almost fainted on duty and we had to walk to and from our post. I worked 118 hours and was told pay was $9 but other guards from langer told me they were getting paid $11 or $10 an hour. And event staff were getting $9 an hour as well and were just sitting around just about the whole time
.. I should of made more money then what I was given and when I questioned my pay, I was told that money taken out for my lunch breaks. I find it hard to believe that my lunch breaks were worth $100. I was in coachella for 20 days and for those 20 I was very unsatisfied with everything.
Especially when CsC got their own trailer of showers and we ALL had to share 12 showers. 6 to a gender. When cal-osha was called, i was asked to talk to them so they would just go away and if they did then I would receive something "special". While in coachella. Out of the twenty days. I only ate on 9 of those days..
There was a lot of drama between just about everyone. There were fights. There was people getting fired. There was arguements. It wasnt just amongst the security officers; but supervisors as well.
