Ups
They are the fraud, not my claim! Redlands California

Ups has said it is treating my claim as a fraudulent claim!

In Sept. Of a package I sent to Austria was signed for by "ISPS" which I later learned is a division of UPS.

This package held a $22,500 Rolex watch. Of course I insured it. I first sent it to New York, and then the buyer had to go to Austria and I had it returned to the store of shipping and reshipped it International to Austria.

Apparently, from WHAT LITTLE I have been told, the buyer was arrested when he went to pick it up at customs. OK, so the guy is a scam artist that first HIJACKED an eBay account, then led me to a false escrow company, and I went along with it all. He was very good at all this, (of course I learned this later too).

The point here is not that the buyer was arrested. My package was probably just the last straw before he was going to be arrested anyway.

But< does any of that matter? No!!!

The fact is: UPS had complete control and possession of my watch for about 2 weeks. When I had to send it to Austria, the UPS employee showed me what exactly to fill out on the International shipping waybill.

They want ALOT of information, ESPECIALLY CONTACT INFORMATION FOR BOTH PARTIES.in the nearly YEAR that has passed since UPS in Austria signed for my package, I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED ONCE!

Not one call, letter, email, anything!

I have filled and filed so many reports it was getting ridiculous. NOONE in UPS could (OR WOULD) answer any question like " WHERE IS MY WATCH?" The most I got was ONE phone call from a LEN HARDY of UPS telling me about the arrest and the biggest fact here is THE WATCH WAS NOT IN THE BOX!!!

This was after call after call to UPS.

So... Here I am without a watch, no $ from the sale, but above it all, the insurance I paid on the package is a big JOKE. Ups does not pay on claims. PERIOD.

Recently, the manager of the UPS store I had been "working with" on this claim quit UPS and emailed me. She, and I quote, wrote, " The last statement made to me from UPS regarding the Rolex watch shipment was that they were treating this as a fraudulant claim. I was instructed to relay nothing further to you or anyone else." she went on to say, " now that i am no longer employed there i can say i am pleased to be out from under their influence as the way business is done there is unacceptable to my moral standards. I ACTUALLY BELIEVED IN THEIR CORE VALUES OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY BUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY MADE ME REALIZE I WAS NOT SUITED FOR DEALING WITH THE WAY THEY CONDUCT BUSINESS."

The manager herself indicated that UPS is not morally responsible to its own clients.

I am out of ideas of what to do now. I am so angry at UPS and feel pushed off to the side.

If they wanted to tell ME they thought this was a fraudulent claim, can't they pick up the phone and tell me? Can't the Austria UPS employees have told me that UPS signed for the package?

They are evil and didn't want to do anything to pay me back for the loss of my watch. Thief or no thief that was buying it has no bearing here in this matter.

Ups owes me the value of the watch. And now they toss my claim off to the side and tell the manager working with me to not say anything to me or anyone else. Gee, sound like they have something to hide?

Jeff Ostroff, who has a site online that tells you all about false escrow companies, etc., has been on MSNBC, interviewed on camera, online; and addressed the problem to me in email that it OBVIOUSLY looked like UPS wanted NOTHING to do with this claim and therefore showed some sort of HUGE PROBLEM. UPS had possession of my insured watch for a long time. They sign for it, and thats it??? I am just supposed to chalk it up to NOTHING?

I am infuriated and now know that I was not to even be told that they were treating my claim as fraudulent.

So much for the all important contact information they want on the shipping papers!!! What good does that do any customer if they dont use it... Don't pick up the phone, or write a letter?

UPS is a very low-life company and they fool you into thinking that IF you pay for insurance, all will be well if anything goes wrong.

Wrong!!!
