Obviously after reading the numerous reports on here I HAD to tell my story. I occasionally check out Lakewood Land online to see the new complaints on them. I was another Victim of theirs last October. What an experience or should I say a hard lesson! Like all of the others on here in too was told one thing and like all of the others on here I experienced something totally unexpected and unwanted. My Husband and both of his parents and I loaded up the car for a weekend trip to the Blueridge Mtns and decided to make a weekend of it when we decided to sign up for this Land Sale that was advertised like crazy on our local radio station. We were looking for a deal. We were told it would be a "Great experience for our Family"... FAR FROM IT!!! Very far!!! All we have to say is that our elderly parents were miserable by the constant pushing of the Sales Manager (car salesman like approach) that comes over to you to "close the sale" just like when you hate buying a Car. Literally they just would not take NO for an answer. 3 hours later!!! We had enough!!! Our elderly parents told them NO and stood up. The manager stood in front of our 82 and 86 year old parents and said harshly that they "had to sit down"!
My Husband had enough and pushed the manager aside and said he would call the Police if he did not get out of his parents personal space. The Manager finally did but what an uncomfortable situation and terrible experience. It embarrassed us because we told our parents how great it would be by trusting Lakewoods word. Please trust the numerous complaints on here and save your time and money. I agree with one of the reports one here... Plain and simple... GET A REALTOR!!! Do it the normal way. If it sounds too good to be true it is!!!
