We, me husband and I, purchased an oil filter and 5 quarts of oil at Walmart one night, that same night he did the oil change, and as he started the car to build up the preassure all of the oil drained out and on to the garage floor.
Fearing the worst for the engine he climbed underneth to take a look, upon removing the oil filer he relized that the rubber gasket that is supposed to seal it fell right off. Causing all the oil to drain out.
We returned to walmart defective filter, empty oil containers and reciept in hand, and demanded to speak with the manager, he told us he didn't believe that it was defective, that my husband must have installed it wrong, which was definatly not the case, especially since there is only one way to install an oil filter.
They were very rude and basically accused of of stealing, would not refund our money or give us new product, since they didn't believe us.
Luckily no damage was done to the engine, so it could have been worse.
As a ex-walmart employee, I know first hand of the evilness that is walmart
