J & W Home Maintenance, as Handyman Crew T & W Home Maintenance & Remodeling Did not finish house painting and what was finished looked like crap

This business was hired to paint exterior of house. The original estimate was to replace all rotted wood, caulk and prep house, paint complete exterior of house and the same with 2 out buildings. Total estimate amount to be paid by the Cook's was $2250.00. Mr. Huffines was supposed to start job on Monday, 4/9. Job was not started until Wednesday 4/11. The reason he gave for delay of starting was due to dealing with another customer that he was having problems with completing job at her location. He stated that she was a difficult customers. He came to house on Wednesday and left one worker to start pressure washing house. I paid him $700.00 cash that day. That worker
was left here all day with only pressure washing machine. The worker was not picked up until 6:15pm. The worker did not have tools to do anything else during the day except pressure wash the house. Therefore he spent most of day
idle.

On Thursday, 4/12 Mr. Huffines showed up with his son and 2 workers tostart job. He took me around the house
and showed me what wood work would be replaced and went over with me the extent of the painting. He then left premise and never returned to check on the progress that the workers were making. His son spent most of day knocking on door and coming in house wanting to use rest room and asking for water/soft drinks. Son also kept trying to sell me other services such as caulking my tile in rest room, etc. Then before they left for lunch he tried to get me to pay him $10.00 cash for painting a light above the garage door that I had specifically told him not to paint. That evening when my
husband came home he called and talked to Mr. Huffines. Mr. Huffines stated that his son had medical issues and assured us he would not be returning to job. He assured my husband that he would make this right.

On Friday, 4/13 the workers showed up and started working again, still not making much progress. He brought
a new worker and one of the previous workers. On Saturday, 4/14 my husband was very upset with the progress and the quality of the workmanship of the repairs. One of the workers contacted Mr. Huffines and told him what was going
on and he put my husband on the phone. He then stated he would be here shortly. When he arrived he took my
husband around the house and and assured him that the house would be completed, that day, properly to our satisfaction. My husband wrote him a check for the remainder of the bill $1550.000. He left again never to return to check on workers. He called that evening on home phone and asked how the work was going.
My husband told him they would not be finished that day. The workers left at 6pm. With job not completed.

At 9:30am on Monday, 4/16 I contacted Mr. Huffines and he stated that someone by the name of Pat was supposed
to have called and said they would not be back until Tuesday, 4/17. No one ever called us stating that. I had words with him and he hung up the phone. I have taken dated pictures of the incomplete and shotty workmanship and
also the mess that has been left in the backyard on a daily bases that I have been cleaning up so our dogs would not injure themselves.
