Ripoff fraudulent deceitful sneak billing

I joined because I liked the deal. I ordered 6 books for a dollar and shipping. The shipping charge was not bad. I soon got the books and went back to the website. My account showed that my books were not shipped.

I figured no big deal, they are late in updating site. I order 3 more books and include a coupon for $10 off that Double day sent me. SO with shipping, my order came to only $16. This was on Jun 1

By June 23 I still showed no change in my account, this order and my last that I received still said open - not shipped. I emailed them. Here is my emails back and forth to them...

What is the status of my order? Every time I look at my order status, one says submitted and one says open. I have paid but still not received my order. When can I expect shipment?

Me - I do not have an account number as it states PendingEvery time I look at my order status, one says submitted and one says open. I have paid but still not received my order that says open. When can I expect shipment or refund?

Well, on July 14 I finally received my order and I find a bill for $25.94. So I email them to let them know I ordered online and it is set to charge my credit card and plus I hd a ten dollar off coupon...

Me - I recieved by order today with a bill for $25.94 I have already paid for these books online. My account shows no shipments or payment made. It shows no balance or nocommitments.

Me - When I placed my order, I entered a coupon for $10 off. It is not on my bill. I will look for my records of the transaction. I have my profile set up to charge my bank card automatically

Me - I was able to add my coupon to my order and I assumed that you would bill me and ship me as soon as possible. So I threw the coupon away but my transaction on my account shows I input the coupon. It's been over a month and I am still working this issue. If I am unable to use that coupon online, why give us the option when placing the order? I have had nothing but problems since joining this club. I get sent a featured selection but don't have the option of selecting Don't send on the website, so I get a book I don't want and now have to pay for. My account shows I have no commitments so I guess I don't have to fulfill my side of the agreement since you are not fulfilling yours

THem - Dear Member, Thank you for contacting us. Even though the coupon had to mailed into receive the discount, it only applied to orders of 2 or more books totaling $20.00 or more.

So here I am having to pay for these books as it turns out that they never charged my card which is on their website to do so. Still no update on my account and I still have more books to order to fulfill my commitment and be done with them.
