This agency had a house for rent online. I was shown the house by a rep (Semmetta Cuth) from the agency and expressed an interest in renting it. At the inital walk through I notice the house needed a few repairs and was told by the rep, that the owner was making all repairs on the home. I filled out the application, paid the $50.00 app fee. My application was accepted. Rent on the house was $775.00 with a $775.00 deposit. I paid $1200 deposit, with the balance of $350.00 to be paid upon signing of lease. This was done the 2nd week of November with a move in date of December 1st.
December 1st came and I was told by the rep, that the repairs were still not done, but would be completed on the 15th of December. When December 15th came. I again was told that the repairs were not done. I at that time requested my money back. When I requested my money back, I received a phone call from the owner (Kita F. Holmes), who told me that the owner told her he was doing the work himself, but now he wanted her company do to the repairs for her, as she had a crew to do this. She told me to please wait Jan. A date was set for Jan 3rd. Jan 3rd came and went. I called this Kita and requested my money back and at that time she told me that my money was non refundable. I asked her how can you say that when I have not signed a lease or lived in the house. She again asked me to wait until the 15th of Jan, that she promise to have the house ready by then.
Well Jan 15th has come and gone. I spoke to Kita again on the 2nd of Feb and told here I no longer wanted to rent the house. I have shortend this a bit, but in between the dates I have mentioned. I have set up several appointments to meet Kita at the house to sign the lease, to walk through the house to see if the work was completed, and each and every time she has come up with an excuse not to meet me. I finally took this to a lawyer, who sent a letter of demand in my behalf to regain my money. I received a text from Kita, angry that I could do such a thing. REALLY! So she was given 30 days to pay me back my money, and it is now March 16th and I have yet to see it.
Now as it stands we will be going to court to have a judgement entered against her to regain my money. This woman has lied to me constantly about paying back my money, has set up appointments with me and the lawyers. She is very unreliable, and a lier, and anyone who does business with this person or her business, please beware!!
