My brother called me collect from a local jail in the next town. Willow Springs Jail to Chicago which is only a few miles apart. We almost immediately (5 seconds, literally) got disconnected for some unknown reason. The amount of the call was never even stated at time of acceptance but I received an email alert shortly afterwards from my debit account as I usually do.
Ubelievabally the amount for that 5 second call was $18.44!
