Rented from Rinehart Realty Corporation and was taken advantage of. They make it easy for college students to sign a lease and then, when you try to leave, they will charge you absurd amounts of money for unecessary improvements to the property. Rinehart has lied to me and is trying to make me pay for pre-existing damages. Rinehart Realty Corporation must receive this message: Stop Taking Advantage of College Students.
If you attend Winthrop University and are thinking about renting from Rinehart please make sure you meticulously document all damage to the property you are going to rent or they will pile the charges on you when you try to leave. It has happened to my friends, it is happening to me, and it will happen to you.
