WE Energies is a monopoly that is not held accountable for its fraudulant business practices. The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) does not thoroughly investigate complaints and consistently finds in favor of WE Energies. City and state elected officials receive bribes in the form of campaign contributions and will do nothing against them.
WE Energies receives funds via the Social Development Commission (SDC) which are federal funds designated to assist low income individuals with their heating bills. WE Energies does not apply these funds to customers bills. Where are these funds going? Why doesn't anyone investigate? WE Energies discriminates against the poor.
WE Energies uses disconnection to extort money from customers. They do not set up reasonable payment plans as their customer service policies espouse. They do not base payments on accurate expense information. WE Energies customer service personnel have been known to be verbally abusive. They do not work to resolve disputes. They retaliate for complaints by shutting off service.
WE Energies is a monopoly. There is not a choice in electric and gas service. This has been made worse by the fact that the PSC allowed Wisconsin Gas and Wisconsin Gas to merge and become one company.
WE Energies, the PSC, elected officials and federal regulatory agencies need to be thoroughly investigated for fraud and human rights abuses.
