Beware working for Sain Engineering. I left a decent job to work as an engineer for Sain Engineering. At interview they said 25% travel. When I started working I found out I would be on the road two weeks strait, weekends included. The travel days would be about 12 hours work per day, except weekends. That meant sitting in a hotel room over a weekend by myself and eating by myself. This went on for four months straight, two weeks gone at a time. Next, the pressure of the job is to work more than 8 hours a day and weekends in order to meet demanding deadlines. Not that this is uncommon in industry, it is just that they dont tell you all this at the interview. Many of the younger engineers here do not have enough time to further their careers by preparing for certification exams, although some do get a certified energy manager cert but that is about it. It is all work and no play at this firm. I see many engineers just stagnate here because they are too busy working all the time and cannot focus on furthering their careers.
If you dont have a social life or need a job this is not a bad place to work. Just be warned about the truth. Lastly, the firm is heavily into military government contracts and in 2012 many of those contracts may be discontinued by the government.
