We used Williams Cohen and Gray for business to business collections for several years. The service was mediocre at first and got worse every year. For the past year, we've been using a different collections agency, and the difference is like night and day.in all the years I used WCG, I think I had one client actually pay them directly. Every other client ended up paying my office, and I had to cut a check to WCG. With my new collections agency, this doesn't happen because the new collections agency is actually doing the collections.

In retrospect, I really think WCG sent the clients one letter, made one phone call or no phone call, and then waited to see if I would send them a check. Most clients could not recall being contacted by WCG in the latter years. When I tried to direct clients too WCG, WCG gave them the run around when trying to get to someone to talk to, and WCG gave me the runaround when I tried to tell my clients who to talk to and how to contact them.

WCG could never get my bill right.in the last collection I paid them for, I actually managed to collect their collection fee for them as part of the deal that I myself had to finally negotiate with the client. I collected the amount owed plus the 20% that WCG usually charged me. WCG absolutely would not coordinate with me by phone or email on the account while the client was trying to negotiate. I paid WCG the normal collection fee as soon as the client paid me.in addition to the collection fee for the client debt, WCG is now trying to collect from me a percentage of the fee I collected for them.

They are charging me a 25% fee on their fee!!! They jacked up their collection fee without warning from 20% to 25%. I have negotiated with two different WCG representatives who have agreed that I should only owe the agreed fee on the client debt (not 25% of the collection fee I collected for them). Both people said they understood and would adjust my account. Yet every three months, a new person calls to find out why I haven't paid them a jacked up fee on their collection fee.

The last time they made a stupid phone call about this, I told them that if they called again about this, I would tell people that this is how they do business. They called me again today. Do not use. Run.
