Cripple Creek Great Danes
Missing puppy / refuses to provide proof / vet recorders

My name is Bailey owner of Cognito Danes and I am reaching out to the canine world in hope, that someone out there can help us find out the truth as to what may have happened to a puppy we bred, and placed with another breeder (Cripple Creek Great Danes) that did a puppy swap with us. On Jan 31st this puppy shipped out of Texas and arrived safely in MO. Prior to leaving my care this puppy had a full vet exam that checked out with a clean bill of health, just as all of my puppies have! However; the vet stated that Bandit "might" be slightly deaf. The family was well aware of this and stated they still wanted him! On Feb 2nd Bandit was taken the family's vet for a follow up visit. During this visit their vet informed them that they should not breed this puppy due to him maybe having hearing loss! Now on Sat morning Feb 4th we received a text aound 1030 am not a phone call from the family, stating that the puppy was not doing well. They said they were rushing him to the vets and upon arriving there the puppy died. When I learned of this information, I was told by the family that they were on their way to the bank to retrieve funds to pay for a necropsy. I asked if I could receive a copy of the report along with some of his ashes. They agreed! My heart is broken over this ordeal and though I would like to believe the story this family is telling me, my heart is telling me other wise. Sadly their story does not add up!!! Now as of Feb 6th they are refusing to have the necropsy done! However; When I asked the family if I could speak with the attending vet who had seen Bandit the family became very defensive and very rude to me. I offered this family many things, and I even offered to pay for the necropsy but once again they became very defensive with me and said it was none of our business! Bandit is mirco-chipped and registered in my name. I have reported Bandit as stolen! We also believe if Bandit has been rehomed, in my thoughts he may have been sent with false AKC paper work! I have contacted AKC with all of this information and reported his "death" so that his application can not be used!

We feel in our hearts that Bandit was rehomed which is against our policy! All of our puppies are to be returned to us the breeder! We are not necessarily wanting him back, we just want to know that he is safe and with a good family. We would like to ask, if anyone out their has this puppy, will you please contact me and help put my heart at ease?!? We would very much love to receive updates and pictures of him as he grows! Please beware when dealing with this breeder! They state that ALL their danes are DNA'd with AKC but yet when we put in their AKC numbers they do not show a #V! She has also email people the same time this puppy supposedly died looking to buy another puppy and claiming the puppy she got from us had all these problems BUT REFUSES to provide vet reports or names to back up her claims or the slanderous comments she is posting on the internet!

When "WE" received the pedigree of Sequoa; the puppy we received from her, We descovered that her Dam was bred under two years of age.infact she was just under one year of age when she was bred!
