BUYER BEWARE If you are thinking about buying new furniture, I would highly suggest staying away from Unclaimed Freight in Fort Worth, TX. I believe this company to be fraudulent and full of lies and deception. Recently, December I purchased a Franklin couch and love seat from Jeremy, the manager, at Unclaimed Freight. After getting the couch in my living room, I noticed within a few days that the love seat leaned to the left. I immediately called Jeremy and he assured me that Unclaimed Freight will replace it with a new love seat. He said he needed to call the general manager for approval but did not see any issue. Jeremy called me back and told me that his general manager approved the new love seat but asked me for patience until January for the replacement. Jeremy stated that his manager did not want to put any orders in to Franklin until January because of tax purposes. Tax purposes??? Anyway, I agreed.
Forward to today, January 25th. I called Unclaimed Freight to get the status of my new couch. Jeremy was not in so I asked for the corporate number. I called and got a hold of Tempe. Tempe said that my first mistake was not calling corporate from the beginning. She said I should not have gone through the manager like I had done. How the hell am I supposed to know that calling the store manager, who I purchased the furniture from, could not make a management decision? I guess Tempe thinks that unsatisfied customers should be able to read minds. Tempe also CLEARLY does not have any clue regarding customer service because who would know the correct protocol when getting defective furniture from Unclaimed Freight! She said she had to talk to her general manager before approving any replacements. I asked to talk to the general manager myself but was told he was in a meeting. I asked to talk to his boss and was told that the general manager was in a meeting with this boss. Clearly, Tempe was acting as a gate keeper and was blocking me from getting any higher. However, she did tell me she would have one of them call me at 1:30pm today. Needless to say, I never received the call from one of the general managers. However, at 5:10pm later that day, Tempe called stating that the general manager would NOT replace my defective Franklin love seat but would send someone out to replace the padding. She stated that the padding is probably worn.
