1.) Ordered Proactiv to TRY the 19.99 special offer as advertised on television.
2.) The product did not work. My daughter was then treated by a Dermatologist.
3.) I received communique via email from Proactiv regarding a payment not made.
4.) I researched my debit card history and called Proactiv to dispute the charge. It was explained to me that I had enrolled in a recurring 90 day supply and would be charged for it and would receive. I was shocked because I was very specific during our first and only conversation when I purchased the 19.99 offer. I was reassured that the recurring charges would be cancelled.
5.) Almost 1 year later I received a bill for 67.84 that indicated a charge identified as: T MC 3PC 90DAY DCW.
6.) I called and requested clarification about this charge. I was informed that when I called I supposedly did NOT cancel a revolving charge and that I only asked for the orders of Proactive to be on hold for 6 month.
I am a very busy person and I would not take the time to write this If there was any doubt that Proactiv RIPPED ME OFF!!!
Now I have a 67.84 bill for NOTHING. I have not received any Proactiv since my initial order. The man on the phone at Proactiv in so many words called me a liar and claimed that the Proactiv was shipped.
My daughter has been going to a dermatologist and taking Tetracycline. She tried Proactiv as a last resort (before going to a dermatologist) for her acne and it did not work. I am not saying that Proactiv is an inferior product because it did not improve my daughters' complexion. I am saying that their billing practices are questionable at best.
I am grateful that I have this forum to express my issue with Proactiv. I never expected this from Proactiv.
