I attempted to purchase a watch from 'Henry'. He was very helpful when I was looking for the item. He provided rapid responses to my emails and answered all my questions. He made all kinds of promises about his quality-control practices and how all his products were very high quality. He also provided multiple photos, but some of the photos were obscured because his email address or company logo were over parts of the photos. I thought this was simply a marketing tool.
It all sounded good, so I purchased the item and was told it would arrive in 5-7 days. He even sent me some quality-control photos of the watch after I purchased it, but the watch was wrapped in plastic, so you couldn't really see any details. All I could tell is that the item appeared to be the correct one.
But then the problems began. A couple weeks passed and I still did not have my watch. Then it showed up one day in an EMS package from China! I opened the package and removed the plastic to be shocked at what I saw. Completely different than the photos on his website and it was almost falling apart. There flaws were very major and this thing is completely unwearable.
I contacted the seller but didn't receive the quick replies like I did before purchasing the item. He complained that it must have been damaged during shipping, but the item was well protected when I opened the box. Everyday, he would ask another question about what was wrong or provide a link to his quality-control page and how he closely inspected everything and sets the date on all items before they ship out. But the date was wrong when it arrived. It was never set at all!
Back and forth we went for half a dozen emails. Finally he told me to return the watch to him and provided me an address in CHINA to send it to. Then he told me to label it as a 'TOY' and put a value on it for 2% of it's actual price. He also said he would repair the item and return it to me, but I had to pay for the return shipping to CHINA.
I told him this was not fixable due to the condition and asked how long it would take to get a replacement. Henry then told me that he would not replace the item and it would be approximately TWO MONTHS before for it to be returned to me after he 'fixed' it. Then I posted a photo clearly showing some of the damage so he could understand how bad the item was and why it needed to be replaced instead of fixed and I have not heard anything since then.
So, now I'm out over $400 and stuck with a piece of junk that isn't worth more than a dollar from a scrap metal recycler. Avoid this con-artist at all costs! He drop ships all his item from China and never even had it in his possession. He couldn't even have performed all the quality-control checks he claims to have done! I don't know where the photos he sent me came from. I think he has a couple different watches on hand that he uses for all his photos. DO NOT TRUST this guy at all.
