Over billing with inactive account

I recently ordered a cell phone with www.tigerdirect.com for Verizon service. The phone order was fumbled, so before it was received, I cancelled it. Tigerdirect confirmed cancellation and receipt of the phone.

This was in November 20th. Today, December 17th I receive a bill from Verizon wireless for November and December.
Let's keep in mind. No phone was activated. No phone call ever placed. No phone was ever received. And these leaches already billed me, a month later, for a total of $228.82.

Do not order phones from www.tigerdirect.com for verizon. Obviously there is a huge disconnect in communication. Verizon is a rip-off company to begin with. A few years back, their over-billing cranked my cell phone bill to over $3000 and dragged the situation over 7 months before terminating my service. Never even fixed the situation.

Here I am, 6 years later, and verizon is still doing what verizon does best, over-bill. I am with AT&T, and must say their customer service is the best. Any billing issues they fix immediately.
