AMS Billing Service is used by apartment companies to overcharge tenants for necessities such as water, sewer, and trash. The company has charged me 51.98 for 2 days of utilities.in addition, they have refused to provide a specific price list or a way to pay the utility companies directly, so I can avoid their markup and asinine billing practices. The ripoffs do not stop there.
AMS Billing Service will charge you a 5.00 fee to pay through the internet and telephone. This is absolutely ridiculous in the year 2011. When you call them, they have no idea what they are talking about. Furthermore, the company believes it can charge you a monthly admin fee and application fee even if you don't want to be billed through them.
