I just did an interview on Yahoo messenger with a representative of XMS LLC of Bronx, NY for a data entry specialist (in home) position. I was looking for part-time filler work.
First, a representative from BMS System contacted me last week by e-mail to set up this online interview. I noticed that the e-mail came from the Human Resources Department.
After having a conversation with the recruiter online, I passed the various hoops and they agreed to send a contract to me by e-mail. The recruiter did mention that some training materials would need to be purchased and they would send a check for me. They don't know me from "ADAM" and I find unbelievable that someone would hire me without a reference check even if it is for a part-time home position, let alone send me money. Let me know if you smell a scam on this one. I did give them my home address. No bank account or SSN info though.
