I'm very new to the trucking industry. I was trained, hired and fired by schneider national. They taught me everything about driving a truck but never told me about how easy it was to lose my job. No one has ever told me about dac reports. I found out when i was trying to get anoher job.
I had 2 acccident placed on my dac and some comment stating "use of unauthorized vehicle." my first accident happened while making a right turn and my rear r-tandems hit a retaining wall of a resident. The second one is confusing to me. That happened while i was making a left u-turn and my rear l-tandems got stuck in a ditch. The tow truck came and got me safely on the road and i finished my run.
There was no citation given to me at any time. Since i was running out of the same yard everyday and had to clear through security at all times. How is it i'm using an unauthorized vehicle? This has been a disaster for me. No one would hire me so, do i just pay a $4,000.00 bill, go bankrupt and throw the cdl away? What good are my cdl's if i can't drive and how do i pay for a bill without a job?
