After posting our 5th wheel Montana camper on Cragis list we were contacted by Camper Depot about selling our camper, The salemsan stated that he had buyers looking for Montana campers at the present time. He stated in his e-mail and by telephone "that they do it all and never a fee or a commission to you. We took our camper over and agreed on a 60day contract from 8-19-11 tell 10-19-11. We were never called with any offers. We called Camper Depot on 10-19-11 and told him we would pick up our camper we were told that if we took our camper before it sold we would owe Camper Depot $1,714.60 for storage and advertising. We drove over 150 miles round trip to pick the camper and were told that they would not take a check or a credit card that the payment had to be in cash which we did not have at the time. The mgr. Stated that he would settle for $1,100.00 cash if we would sign a release stating that we would not pursue legal action against Camper Depot. We came home borrowed the money from a friend and went back the next day and paid the $1,714.60 rather than the $1,100.00 and did not sign the release against Camper Depot. We feel like we were delibertly misled and that this kind of practice should be stopped before it happens to someone else.
